God Cares about YOU

I recently wrote and published Church Healed! The Holy Spirit and I worked on this book for two years—it’s been a beautiful and wild adventure. I’m so humbled and blessed by the incredible stories of how it has already impacted so many lives!

However, after pouring so much into this God-given project, I found myself completely drained—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I laid it all out before the Lord, sharing how I felt. In His faithfulness, God surprised me with a month-long sabbatical.

For an entire month, I had the chance to step away from work and truly rest. It was a gift straight from God’s hand. Leading up to this time, the Lord began speaking to me about the importance of rest and slowing down. I’m still learning how to do this—especially mentally! My mind rarely stops...

During the sabbatical, God continued His deep work in me. My heart is filled with gratitude, my mind is renewed, my soul is content, and my spirit is full.

I wonder how many of us are feeling drained, but don’t have the option to take time off work or to step away. If that is you, I want to encourage you with this:

Are you honest with yourself about how exhausted you really are? Why does it matter to look strong and capable in front of others when, deep down, you’re struggling to find joy and fulfillment?

God cares about YOU!

What you do doesn’t define who you are.

It’s okay to set boundaries at work and in your tasks.

You are more than the title attached to your name.

When was the last time you truly slowed down? When was the last time your to-do list was empty, and you had a slow morning just to wake up and sit with God?

Let me leave you with this thought:

God doesn’t rush. He walks. And He wants you to walk with Him. Rushing only leaves you breathless and weary. So, my friend, hold His hand, walk with Him, and breathe.

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29

“The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.”

Psalm 23:1-3

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Psalm 46:10

Friend, God is inviting you to rest in Him. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Trust Him with the pace of your life—He’s got you.
