Unforgettable Takeaways: Part 2 Safe and Sound: The Hidden Miracles of His Care

The craziest and scariest thing happened to my husband and I while we were driving on the turnpike. A huge tire was in the road, and the car ahead of us ran over it, sending it flying straight toward our windshield. In a split second, Martin swerved, and the tire struck the side of our car instead. The side bumper flew off, but we were safe. In that moment, despite the chaos, I felt the Holy Spirit flood my heart with peace and gently whisper, "I am with you."

This experience left me in awe of God’s protection. It’s not just in the dramatic events like this but also in countless unseen ways every single day. 

Psalm 91:4 reminds us:"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."

God doesn’t promise a life without trials or danger, but He promises to be with us and shield us in the midst of them. 

Isaiah 41:10 speaks directly to this truth:"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

This year, I’ve learned the incredible power of praying for protection. When we ask God to guard our paths and guide our steps, we are inviting His sovereign hand to be active in our lives. He’s always present, but prayer deepens our awareness of His work and strengthens our trust in Him.
